Thank you for visiting my race donation page.
I am running my very FIRST ½ Maine Marathon on September 30, 2012 with the Maine Children’s Cancer Program Maine Marathon Team. MCCP is located in Scarborough and is the only comprehensive treatment center for children fighting cancer and blood disorders in the state of Maine.
While I have not been personally impacted by MCCP, I have had a critically ill child taken care of in the NICU at Barbara Bush Children Hospital. Everyone involved in caring for our son, Callum, and our family as a unit was amazing. I have chosen to run for MCCP to give me a way to help these children and their families deserve the best care possible. Knowing that I am running for these children and families, will help make my first half marathon more special and meaningful.
MCCP helps children through their journey by providing high quality care and support for both children and their families. Each year between 50-60 new children in Maine are diagnosed with cancer. That's almost a new child diagnosed each week!
Help me reach my fundraising goal so we can pay for things these children need like state-of-the-art-equipment, psychosocial services, and research to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
With your help, we can make a huge difference in children’s lives. Please make a donation and support me as I run for children with cancer.
