“In May of 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and began a life changing journey. During such a challenging time, I was incredibly grateful for the support from my cancer care team at Maine Medical Center, which moved me to want to give back to those who supported my journey as well as those facing their own experiences with cancer. Ladies' Member Guest experience combines my love for golf with my passion for improving cancer care for Mainers like myself, and I look forward to seeing the lasting impact the Cupo-Harris Fund will make for years to come.”
Deb Cupo and Joel Harris have an interest in cancer care, education, and research at Maine Medical Center and MaineHealth Cancer Care Network. As a breast cancer survivor, Debbie bravely confronted her illness and treatment with grace and integrity. Because of Debbie’s personal experience and her strong belief in quality cancer care within the state of Maine, she and Joel started the Drive Fore The Cure events and the Cupo-Harris Cancer Fund to support MaineHealth Cancer Care Network's oncology clinical trials, and future strategic priorities which may include facilities, equipment, staffing, or programmatic needs that results in improved delivery of cancer care for patients and families receiving care in Maine.

The Ladies' Member Guest 2023 is a charitable golf experience to benefit the Breast Care Center at Maine Medical Center. The event will take place on Thursday, July 27th at the beautiful Falmouth Country Club.
Funds raised will support comprehensive breast health care, including early detection, diagnostic imaging services, specialist consultation, and treatment of breast cancer for Maine people. In the tournament’s inaugural year, we raised $72,000 to directly support advances in care, advocacy, education, and research for breast care patients in Maine and northern New England.
