The Dr. Karl C. Sze Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Endowment

In recognition of Dr. Karl Sze's illustrious career practicing medicine in Maine, The Dr. Karl C. Sze Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship Endowment has been established by a former patient. This fund will be used to enhance our growing cardiac fellowship program, providing opportunities for young doctors to pursue compelling research projects, and attend and participate in important cardiovascular conferences around the country.

During his career, Dr. Sze was always at the leading-edge of the latest scientific breakthroughs and technological advances, giving thousands of Mainers the best cardiovascular care in the country right in their own back yard. He did all of this while simultaneously training Maine's next generation of cardiologists. After more than 40 years of service to the Maine community and to Maine Medical Center, it is fitting to honor him by carrying on his legacy of cardiovascular advancement through medical education.
